Add a striking piece of 19th-century British craftsmanship to your collection with this rare, antique relief-moulded ironstone pitcher by Staffordshire potters Cork & Edge (c.1846–1860). Crafted in “Pearl White” stone-china for the American export market, it features deeply modeled high-relief stags fleeing through a woodland landscape, framed by Gothic Revival arches and grapevine borders. Remarkably, it includes its exceptionally rare original matching ceramic lid and bears the “E Pluribus Unum” eagle hallmark on the base. Complete with authentic glaze crazing and a gentle amber patina, it makes an extraordinary historical statement piece.
In good condition with signs of use appropriate to age.
