Antique Bornholmer Longcase Clock-White

Longcase clocks like this, equivalent to the Swedish Mora clocks and patterned based on the Grandfather’s clock of Britain, is a classic Scandinavian piece borne of the rich Bornholmer design tradition. Untouched in its original white and blue paint, this rare 19th- century clock is a beauty made from pine, decorated with quartz columns, intricate festoons, and a carved drape. The enamel clock face features handpainted Roman numerals and surrounded by a leaved wreath in gold.
