The similarities of style are evident in the treatment of the facial features: the large rounded forehead- marked with the cross of Saint Andrew – the half-closed eyes and the marks of “tears” – the same shape of the nose and the mouth with sharp teeth highlighted. The Chihongo mask is the representation of a male spirit evoking power and wealth.
