Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp 1960s/70s Large ceramic table lamp, handmade in Denmark. Features a stunning and very unusual glaze of warm amber and purple with sea green and flecked gold highlights. Model number 1039, designed by Einar Johansen. Made in Denmark by Soholm Stentoj (Pottery) on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s. Has manufacturer’s details, designer’s mark, and model number etched on its base.
Søholm Stentøj (stoneware) is one of the most revered names in Danish ceramics. It was founded on the Baltic island of Bornholm in 1835, and produced ceramics until the factory closed in 1996.
The base is original and has not been repaired from any kind of breakage, shades are new, rewired with black cable, and now in modern E27 fitting. The photo/s shown aim to show the condition of the lamp as accurately as possible but this is not a brand new item, some minor signs of age and/or use might be seen. Possible slight variations in the colors can be shown due to lighting, the camera lens & the device the image is viewed.
