Last year, I announced with a heavy heart that we would be leaving our old home on Nicanor Garcia Street. Our lease agreement was ending and we were nowhere near finalizing a new one. Well, we have since resolved the issues and worked out new terms with our landlord.
In line with our decision to stay, we have revamped the store extensively, filled the entire space with wonderful new collections, and re-jigged the layout to better highlight our services and merchandise.
The new showroom incorporates distinct yet integrated spaces for the retail store KISH, interior design services provider KISH INTERIORS, and original Filipino homeware label ITO KISH HOME. The three distinct businesses now come under the single brand ITO KISH.
You must come and see our collection of rare and original Mid-Century Modern furniture from 23 to 26 June 2016 at the Kirov Model Unit in partnership with Proscenium at Rockwell. I am particularly proud of this collection, which comes as a reward for our long and tedious negotiation with a supplier in Denmark.
The collection consists primarily of cabinets, tables, and chairs from France and the Scandinavian countries, featuring impressive wood selection, construction, and decoration techniques.
The collection includes original and signed iconic pieces by Hans J Wegner, Verner Panton, Arne Jacobsen, and Paul Poulsen obtained from a Danish stockist warehouse. Other pieces in the exhibition and sale are home accessories and studio pottery, as well as vintage art commissioned for a Copenhagen hotel built in the 1950s.
My staff and I are looking forward to walk you around our renovated store to discover newly curated spaces and spectacular pieces.
See you soon!
